Information We Collect

Account Information

When you create a WiserCal account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign up via a third-party service (Google, Microsoft), we receive the profile information you authorize.

Scheduling Data

We collect information about your calendar availability, event types, booking preferences, and meeting details — including titles, descriptions, attendee names, and email addresses provided during the booking process.

Calendar Integrations

When you connect a calendar (Google Calendar, Outlook, Apple Calendar), we access your calendar data solely to check availability and create events on your behalf. We never read the contents of your calendar events beyond what is necessary for scheduling.

Usage and Technical Data

We automatically collect log data including your IP address, browser type, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited. We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and measure product analytics.

Payment Information

For paid plans, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your full credit card number. We retain only the last four digits, expiry date, and billing address for your records.

How We Use Your Information

Providing the Service

We use your information to operate WiserCal — to create your booking pages, check calendar availability, schedule meetings, send confirmations and reminders, and process payments.

Improving the Product

Aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us understand how people use wisercal, identify bugs, and build new features. We never sell individual usage data.

Communications

We send transactional emails (booking confirmations, reminders, receipts) and, with your consent, product updates and newsletters. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Security and Fraud Prevention

We use data to detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities, and to protect the rights and property of WiserCal and its users.

3

Sharing Your Information

With Meeting Invitees

When someone books a meeting with you, their name and email are shared with you, and your name and event details are shared with them. This is necessary to facilitate the meeting.

Service Providers

We share data with trusted third-party vendors who help us operate wisercal: cloud infrastructure (AWS), payment processing (Stripe), email delivery (Postmark), and analytics (Mixpanel). These vendors are contractually required to protect your data.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your information if required by law, court order, or governmental authority, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights or prevent imminent harm.

Business Transfers

If WiserCal is acquired or merges with another company, your information may be transferred as a business asset. We will notify you before your data is subject to a different privacy policy.

4

Data Retention

Active Accounts

We retain your data as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings, which will permanently remove your data within 30 days.

Meeting Records

Past meeting records are retained for 12 months after the meeting date to enable you to review your scheduling history. You may request earlier deletion.

Legal Obligations

Some data may be retained longer where required by applicable law, such as financial records for tax compliance, which we retain for 7 years.

5

Your Rights

Access and Portability

You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you at any time. We will provide it in a structured, machine-readable format within 30 days.

Correction

You may correct inaccurate personal data directly in your account settings or by contacting our support team.

Deletion

You may request that we delete your personal data. We will comply promptly except where retention is required by law or legitimate business necessity.

GDPR and CCPA

If you are in the European Economic Area or California, you have additional rights including the right to object to processing, restrict processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact us at privacy@wisercal.com to exercise these rights.

6

Cookies

Essential Cookies

These are required for the service to function — for example, to keep you logged in. They cannot be disabled.

Analytics Cookies

We use cookies to understand how visitors interact with our website. This data is aggregated and does not identify individuals. You may opt out via your browser settings or our cookie banner.

Managing Cookies

Most browsers allow you to control cookies through their settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect the functionality of wisercal.

7

Security

Technical Safeguards

We use TLS encryption for all data in transit and AES-256 encryption for data at rest. Our infrastructure is hosted on SOC 2 Type II certified cloud providers.

Access Controls

Access to production systems is restricted to authorized personnel, protected by multi-factor authentication and audit logging.

Breach Notification

In the event of a data breach that affects your personal data, we will notify you within 72 hours of becoming aware, as required by applicable law.
